Hawthorn Badminton Club
A long-established, friendly club based in Enfield.
Weekly Sessions
Hawthorn plays on Mondays between September and April at Enfield Grammar Lower School.
Weekly sessions begin at 7:30PM and end promptly at 9:30PM.
Club Standard
Hawthorn can only accommodate adults (18+). Most players are of an intermediate standard and the club uses feather shuttlecocks.
We cannot accommodate absolute beginners but we welcome players who understand the fundamentals and are looking to improve.

Membership Fees
The fees for the 24/25 season (starting from September) can be found below.

The membership fee includes the Badminton England Registration and County Affiliation fees.
Students are welcome to join in at a rate of £5 for each session provided that they have a Badminton England membership. Feel free to get in touch for more information.
Club Events
Hawthorn hosts an annual club tournament in December. Members are paired up and participate in a two-stage bracket.
An end-of-season meal is also organized at the start of May, just after the final session of the year.
Location
Sessions take place in the gym of Enfield Grammar Lower School. Hawthorn uses all three badminton courts available.
The school is a 10 minute walk from Enfield Town Station, or a 15 minute walk from Enfield Chase station. The W7 and W8 buses also have stops just outside the school.
Free parking is available in the courtyard in front of the school. The entrance is narrow and there may be cars attempting to enter and exit simulataneously. Please take caution!
